Saeculum

Location: England; Language: English; Captions: English

Saeculum (2021) is an experimental film that revolves around the filmmaker’s father who constructs a bird house using scrap material during the 2020 lockdowns. Simultaneously, the filmmaker documents this process through the use of clay. These practices become a portal for reflecting on a life’s work in the construction industry, the memories of establishing a new home in a foreign country and the common ground found between father and son through the practice of making.
